Today's deadline is for chapter 6 project to be turned in. I took time at the beginning of class to urge everyone to turn in something. Even if the grade turned out to be 10/50 because it was incomplete or poorly done, you would NOT receive a late penalty. One can always spend time redoing the work to improve the grade. We have only two more folks to plot their famous person cutout. Students are learning how to manage their lab time when multiple projects are in progress. This is so much like the real world in my opinion. My 4 currently failing students have shown up twice in a row to work during break. This is good. I did not want to have to take action of referrals to get them motivated to act.
Tomorrow the c.6 final is due by the end of the block. I am hoping I'll see local landmarks put together in a manner that makes one think, "What am I seeing here?"
