The Classic Switcheroo

This is the classic work of putting your own head on a different body. Getting the skins tones similar is the real work. After finishing this, it took me awhile to decide to actually publish it. For those of you that know me, the result is definitely hard to believe.

When We Look in the Mirror

I had to convince my wife to pose for me late at night. She wasn’t happy to do this, but did smile on command. It is amazing what folks will do when you just ask. I found the dodge tool lightens up as you see in teeth and blur tool heals remove wrinkles. Best of all is the spot healing brush. It is amazing. I am getting much better at using zoom tool to get where I want to be. I find myself using “ctrl z” to undo a selection almost automatic to try again to get what I want. I did not know what to do with the glare on the glasses so left it for now.

Facial Changes can be creul

Depending upon one's temperament, you could spend the rest of your life distorting other people's faces. I found it wise to make sure the person I was messing with knew I was doing it and did not get offended by it. I used a photo I took of my youngest son when he was posing for the camera. Ah the joy of youth in not really caring what others think.
I used the filters to distort and pinch his left eye making it smaller. I also tried to elongate his nose but realize more work is necessary with skin tones. If you look longer you can see the extra eyebrow.

Messing up a landmark...

Taking graffiti from the internet and combining it with a photo of our school, one can create an image that does not really exist.

I used the drag and drop to move the graffiti images into the school photo. By changing the opacity of the layers and erasing parts of the image I did not want the software allowed me to come up with a convincing image.

Famous People Everywhere

I wanted to have some fun and create some memories by going outside and taking several photos of all the cut outs before they went home. It looks like the we have a great time. Thanks to Filip for taking these shots.

Wrecking a car was most popular to kids to use in final

The new vehicle was transformed into a wreck. Many of the features of Liquifity tool options were used. Plastic wrap is the effect on the windows. I really liked the pool of oil in front of the car. You can also see I used some of the abrasions from the project before on this image. Thanks to Rhoda Grossman (www.digital painting.com) for the red car image.

Can we make brusies and a black eye?

Along the same lines of using Photo Shop to change a person, I took my friend and "ruffed" him up. By reading what Rhoda Grossman had to say in her text, I learned that 'black eyes' are not really black, but mostly purple and green. I stuck with her suggestions for RGB colors since I have not developed enough experience at this point to trust my own instincts. The puffy lip came from using the distort filter in liquefy then bloat choice. The abrasions were made only once and copied a couple of times.

Why anyone would want to harm this guy is beyond me. Maybe it is just the job he has?
