Famous photos to study

The famous depression era photograph shows many elements of an outstanding photograph. The kids balance the central figure of the mother. the ragged clothes tell the story of poverty. Her hand leading lines to the face which is central to the photograph. The furrowed brow and stare into nowhere gives emotion to the viewer. What we do not know is the situation of this family. They were migrant pea pickers that just learned a cold span will not provide work. the day before the father sold the tires off the only car to buy food for the family. On learning this, the mother must be wondering where the next meal is coming from. This 1932 photograph spurred the government to send food and supplies to the many migrant farmers in California and help stem the poverty families textured. Photographs can change the world it seems.
